Development environment

Macron is able to provide development and complete localization services of multimedia applications on both Windows and MacOS platforms, and in all standard development environments which utilize C++, Director, Flash, Visual Basic, Delphi and others. Our services also include source code fixing and modification, expansion and internationalization of an application’s original functionality and addition of completely new .In addition we have ported older 16-bit applications to run very successfully in the newest 32-bit systems including complement adjuncts like Quicktime and and DirectX .Further, we have wide experience with user-friendly software distribution applications such as Installshield, which is the most widely used program of its kind.

Multimedia content creation

Our technical experience over the past sveral years has helped build a deep in-house reservoir of expertise in the skills and tools necessary for top level graphic production. Whether images (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks), video (Adobe Premiere, Adobe AfterEffects, QuickTime), sound files (Deck, SoundEdit, Sound Forge), 2D animation (Director, Flash) or basic 3D animation (3D Max, Infini-D), Macron can provide full graphic support for your localization project. Whenever working with large amounts of data, we use automatic processes that greatly speed up the progress of the project overall. Primarily we work with tools that automate batch-processing of all files types between individual formats (DeBabelizer, RAD Video Tools, Virtual Dub). We can also create our own automated scripts where necessary (VBA, Rebol).

Translation, DTP and other

Thanks to our teams of experienced translators using the most advanced translation tools available (MS Espresso, Trados), we provide you with a very high quality and cost effective translation solution. We have comprehensive knowledge of DTP applications (QuarkXpress, FrameMaker, PageMaker) and can offer complete pre-press services as well. Using our own tool, QuarkToDate for QuarkXpress, we are able to work with document fragments in creating catalogs and other dynamic web content. For project management we use standard tools and applications like MS Project and SharePoint in addition to our own browser-based database which allows client to follow project progress at each stage and communicate directly with developers working on specific tasks.
